FileBot detects the file to move but it does not rename it, it simply creates a hardlink (which was what I wanted) to the file in /mnt/d/test2/TV/. The dot just runs it on the active directory.

So you have to use something like /u/Wowza7125's script to at least give each movie it's own folder. be careful with it and doublecheck it's work to make sure it's correct.Īlso, If you're going to consider using Radarr, it doesn't currently support "flat" file structure.

Move what it got right, and there's a way to "undo" with filebot (I'm not at home so I can't check my scripted version of that, I'll update when I get home) so I'd run that and then either rename manually or fix the files in whatever way I had to for filebot to get it right. What I mean by that I would usually run a version of the renamer on strict, move those files to their appropriate place, then run another pass with non-strict and spot check to make sure they're right. The thing with trying to automate filebot is non-strict is unreliable enough that I don't fully trust it.
One for TV shows, one for movies, one for anime (I stopped using that a long time ago though), an undo version in case it borked it, and non-strict versions of movies, tv shows, and anime. I wrote a few really simple "bash script" versions of the command to automate it, too. I still download some stuff manually though and use filebot for renaming those. I was using filebot almost exclusive the last few years until I switched over to Sonarr/Radarr late last summer.
